What Optimists Do
Optimist Clubs participate in community service programs that are dedicated to bringing out the best in kids. Since each Club is autonomous and run by members in their community, Optimists have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of their area in any way they see fit.
Tuesday Evening Optimist
Chartered May 16, 2006, the Tuesday Evening Optimist Club of Cedar Rapids holds business meetings the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month in Marion.
Topics of discussion at business meetings include upcoming fundraising opportunities, events, and club updates.
Once a quarter we host a Social, where we all get together with families and friends for an evening of fun. The social night is also a great way to introduce new, and potential, members to the club.
